Dyeing Pantyhose With Kool Aid

Several weeks ago I was surfing the web for pictures of women showing off their sexy legs in pantyhose.  If you're reading this blog, you probably do the same thing.  I've done this a thousand times at least.  But this time, I found something that I had never heard off.

Dyeing pantyhose with Kool Aid.

I had never heard of such a thing.  It seems that people have been using Kool Aid to dye all kinds of things, most notably, yarn and hair.  However, there is at least a couple of blogs whose authors have experimented with dying pantyhose.  They also mention using food coloring.

I really enjoy seeing women wear colored pantyhose.  The thing is, I don't seem to see many women wearing them.  There really doesn't seem to be much available when looking for colored pantyhose.  You can find colored tights everywhere.  But opaque tights and pantyhose aren't the same thing.  Hell, I have many pairs of colored tights myself.  I have seen one or two brands out there, but they're not cheap and I've never really considered buying them.  But what if I could make my own?

Soon, I was in a store looking for Kool Aid and food coloring.  I thought that food coloring would offer more versatility when it comes to colors, but I didn't want to have to explain to my wife why I'd bought food coloring and the brand that I found didn't seem to come in resealable tubes.  So, I went with the Kool Aid.

The blogs that I'd read on the subject stated that they'd used nude pantyhose and suggested that white pantyhose or tights might work really well.  So, I decided that I'd try both, nude Leggs Sheer Energy and white Merona opaque tights. As I've mentioned, I already have colored tights, but I thought I might come up with something new and potentially exciting.

The directions sounded simple enough.  Boil water and add the Kool Aid.  Then ad the pantyhose and stir carefully.  Continue heating in the microwave, being careful not to boil the pantyhose.

I bought four packs of strawberry, four grape, four blue raspberry and four lemonade.  One site mentioned using lemonade to dilute colors.  I thought it'd be best to have it, although I didn't use it.

I read that it didn't really matter which red Kool Aid was used.  They're all basically the same   I added one pack of strawberry and dipped my nude pantyhose into the red bath and stirred.  One pack seemed to turn the water sufficiently red  I used about four cups of boiling water.  Then I reheated it in the microwave for one minute and stirred.  I repeated the process several times.  The pantyhose soaked in the strawberry Kool Aid for between 45 minutes and an hour.  Then I rinsed them in the sink.  The "instructions" that I'd read said to continue rinsing until the water ran clear.  After awhile it seemed to be generally clear.  The pantyhose were red.  Not dark red, but they were sheer red.  I hung them to dry.

Next I decided to use the white Merona tights.

I just knew that the white tights would really soak up the color so I used two packs of Grape Kool Aid.  After a little while, I realized that the color wasn't even on the tights, so I added a third pack of grape to the water and reheated them again.  After more stirring and heating it became apparent that they weren't going to color evenly.  After rinsing, I hung them to dry.

I decided to dye one more pair of pantyhose,  I went the the Blue Raspberry.

After starting with one pack of the blue raspberry I thought a second one was needed.  When I was finished the pantyhose looked a little closer to green that blue.  But I was happy.

From left to right.  Strawberry pantyhose, Grape tights and Blue Raspberry Lemonade pantyhose.

It's not quite apparent in the pictures but the grape tights are a little splotchy.  The have a somewhat tie dyed look   They also still smell like grape.  I will be offering these for sale soon.  So let me know if you're interested.

In the picture below I'm wearing the "strawberry" pantyhose.

In the next one you can see my "grape" tights.  I really do like these.  I just don't know if I can get away with wearing them in front of my wife, especially since they smell like grape.  As I mentioned, the color didn't come out solid.  They really are splotchy.  It just doesn't show well in the picture.

Anyone out there ever tried this?

I Found A Pair

The world is full of beautiful things.  The most beautiful just might be a pretty woman.  What's better than a pretty woman?

A pretty woman wearing sexy lingerie.

When I was a kid and started feeling those first sexual feelings.  I didn't have a pretty woman or girl to play with.  What I did have, was something sexy down the hallway in my mothers dresser drawer.  A pair of pantyhose is what I was looking for.  Guess what?  I found a pair.

I still have a pair and I'm still having fun with them.

How do you have fun?

Cross Dresser Selfie

Long before the cell phone camera was invented, I was taking selfies.  I used a 35mm film camera on a tripod with a squeeze bulb shutter release.  Simple enough.  Not really.  Then the film needed to be sent out for processing.  I did learn to process my own black and white film, but black and white really isn't all that fun.

It's nice to not have to do that anymore.

More Strappy Sandals

I still haven't had a serious response from anyone regarding my sexy black strappy sandals.  I'm trying to sell a few things because I'm afraid of my wife finding everything that I own, starting with some of my high heels.  Actually, there are hardly used and are in great shape.  They are women's size 12.

If you're seriously interested in buying this sexy pair of shoes, email me at:

Include High Heels in the subject line.

In the meantime, here are a couple more pictures.
